Wraps is an open-source CLI, TypeScript SDK, and web platform for building email automations, templates, and broadcasts as code — deployed to your own AWS account.
Email automations are defined as TypeScript. Triggers, conditions, delays, and branches are code you write in your editor, review in PRs, and deploy from CI. Templates are React Email components with typed variables. Broadcasts are scheduled from a dashboard or API. Everything runs on AWS SES in your account at $0.10 per 1,000 emails.
The code-first approach unlocks things GUI-based email platforms can't do. One user runs ~300 language courses and needs a unique automation workflow per course. He generates all 300 programmatically and pushes the batch from his CI pipeline. At 120K subscribers, the cost difference matters too — traditional platforms charge per subscriber tier, while Wraps sends at AWS pricing regardless of list size.
The CLI handles infrastructure: wraps email init deploys SES identity verification, DKIM/SPF/DMARC, event tracking via DynamoDB and Lambda, and SNS pipelines in one command. wraps email workflows push deploys your automations. The hosted platform adds a visual dashboard for monitoring workflow executions, managing templates, scheduling broadcasts, and tracking deliverability analytics.
Wraps never stores your AWS credentials. Access uses temporary OIDC tokens and scoped IAM roles. If you stop using Wraps, your infrastructure keeps running. Zero lock-in, zero markup.
