SmartRetry is a recovery layer for failed online payments. It analyzes declined transactions in real time, identifies the root cause, and resubmits an optimized version to increase the chance of approval. Unlike traditional retry logic, SmartRetry adapts each attempt based on issuer behavior, transaction data, and payment context. It works alongside existing PSPs without requiring changes to checkout or internal systems. By focusing specifically on avoidable declines, SmartRetry helps merchants, PSPs, and acquirers recover lost revenue and improve authorization rates. The model is success-based, meaning clients only pay on recovered transactions.
