The idea came from a simple problem: after years of developing apps, I had several older tablets and smartphones lying unused in drawers. The devices still worked, but the software was outdated and many modern apps no longer supported them. I wanted to give them a useful second life.
ExtraClock does exactly that. Open a personal browser link, switch to fullscreen mode, and the old device becomes a stylish word clock for a desk, shelf, wall or office.
ExtraClock currently supports 20 languages and 40 international dialect variants, along with a wide range of backgrounds and visual styles.
It even works on very old hardware, including early iPads, older Android devices and older Kindle Fire tablets, as long as they can still open a compatible web browser.
