What it is
SalaryDuel is a daily salary guessing game on real US data. Each day, ten rounds. Each round shows two real roles (title, seniority, location), and you pick who earns more by median salary. After every pick, the real numbers come up: median, p25 to p75 range, market signal, top 4 employers hiring for that role. Two minutes a day.
What you get after every pick
- Median salary for each role
- p25 to p75 range so the picture is honest, not a single number
- Market signal like Balanced or Highly Competitive, with active candidate count and open positions
- Top 4 employers hiring for that role right now
That second screen is the actual product. The game is a wrapper that gets you to read ten salary cards a day instead of zero.
Two modes
- Daily bout. Same 10 rounds for everyone, builds a streak
- Endless. Higher/lower until you miss
What makes it different from a salary calculator
A calculator gives you one number. SalaryDuel makes you read 10 rounds of the market before you check your own. After ten days you start reading salaries the way a recruiter does. The data is the same payscope.ai US salary index, refreshed monthly.
Free, no signup
Browser-only. No account, no email, no install. Your streak lives in localStorage.
One honest note on geography
Data is US-only at launch. If you are outside the US, you can still play it as a curious read on the American market. UK and EU data is on the roadmap.
Feedback is welcome. The reveal screen is the actual product, and I want to know if it's the right shape.
