I'm a solo founder and I kept losing deals I'd basically already won — not because the calls went badly, but because I'd fall behind on follow-up. Good call, good notes, then the week would get away from me and the deal would go quiet.
I tried CRMs and bounced off all of them. Too much setup and too many fields to maintain on top of an already full day, for a one-person sales motion that doesn't need forecasting or pipelines. Spreadsheets and calendar reminders didn't stick either.
So I built Nudge for myself. You paste a call transcript or connect a notes source (Granola, Google Meet's Gemini notetaker, Gmail, Fireflies), and it does a few things:
Builds a page per customer automatically, so all notes and history for an account live in one place.
Extracts every commitment — yours and theirs — with a suggested due date and the source quote attached, so I can verify where each item came from.
Reconciles new notes against existing open items: closes what's done, updates what changed, adds what's new.
Drafts the follow-up email from what was actually discussed, which I review before sending.
It's deliberately not a CRM — no pipeline, no lead scoring, no dashboards. Just the action items and the follow-through.
The extraction is grounded in the source note (the supporting quote is attached to every suggested action), and anything ambiguous is surfaced as a proposal I confirm rather than something auto-added. Nothing gets sent or marked done without me.
There's a free tier (5 customer pages, 10 imports/month) if you want to try it. I'd genuinely like feedback on the action-extraction quality and on whether the "not a CRM" framing holds up for anyone else running founder-led sales — or whether people end up wanting more structure than I think they do.
