DOMD is a WYSIWYG editor built on a Markdown-native rendering engine written from scratch. Typing and rendering stay in lockstep — no lag, no flicker.

• Opens instantly. A 1 MB document opens as fast as a short note — about the speed of opening a plain .txt file, regardless of size.

• macOS-native, with its own Quick Look extension. Press space in Finder to render any .md — no app needed.

• Driveable by a CLI. domd-cli lets other apps and AI agents open windows, stream writes, and rewrite selections. A model's output streams straight into the document and renders as rich text in real time.

• Local-first and minimal. No project tree, no sidebar, no tabs, no sync, no account. Files stay on your device.

• Also runs in the browser. Drop a .md in — nothing is uploaded.
