Hi, we’re Lien and Jax.
I live in France, and here you can’t walk far without stumbling into art, culture, and history. It’s hard not to feel something when you’re standing in front of an original 16th-century painting created by someone who had no idea they would influence generations. Art is emotion. You either connect with a piece or you don’t, and that feeling is impossible to explain.
After becoming a mother, I spent a lot of time doing puzzles with my daughter, and that simple moment planted an idea. What if iconic paintings could become puzzles, mixing learning with a calm break in the day? Something you can enjoy while waiting for the metro or during a quiet pause.
That idea stayed with me until I finally convinced my friend @jackson_myers to build it together. We’re a funny team: I’m the type who wants to ship in two weeks, he’s a physicist with a “make every detail perfect” mindset. Somehow it works.
This is the result:
Artizen lets you solve puzzles made from iconic paintings across different eras, from masterpieces everyone knows to artworks you rarely see. Each puzzle comes with a short, friendly story about the painting. You can collect artworks, choose your difficulty, and play at your own pace. The app uses Game Center so you can compare progress with friends, and everything works offline with no ads or accounts.
We included a full free collection so everyone can try the game and enjoy a mix of artworks. If you want to go further, extra collections from different art periods can be unlocked.
The app is available on iPhone and iPad.
