Voxdrop is a native Mac app for two things I do all day: writing by voice and taking meeting notes.
Press ⌥A, speak, and the text appears at your cursor in any app — Notion, Slack, VS Code, Mail, the Terminal. When a call starts in Teams, Zoom, FaceTime, Slack, Discord or Webex, Voxdrop offers to record it. Both sides are transcribed live, so the transcript is there a moment after you hang up, with a summary, the to-dos (who does what by when) and a follow-up email draft you send yourself.
Everything runs on your Mac: Whisper and Parakeet for speech, Apple Intelligence or your own Ollama / LM Studio model for summaries. No account, no cloud upload, no bot joining your call.
New in 2.3: Markdown export (Obsidian), Shortcuts actions, and a local read-only MCP server + CLI so Claude or your own scripts can search your meetings.
One-time purchase (€9.99 early bird), no subscription. There's no free trial, but every purchase has a 14-day refund, no questions asked.
