SEO Logbook reviews

What 2 Uneed members think of SEO Logbook

Is it mostly freelancers logging work so clients get a proof-of-work report, or in-house SEO teams monitoring URLs and handing context to whoever takes over next? If it helps, I can record free feedback of me logging a first task as a new user and pointing out anything confusing along the way.

Both, really. Freelancers can use the record for client reports. For in-house teams, it keeps the changes, decisions and results with the URL so the next person can pick up the work. Your small-team example is exactly a use case we’re building for.

And yes please, I’d really appreciate that recording. Try logging your first task as you normally would and point out anything confusing. Seeing where you get stuck would help me improve it.

Love that, keeping the decisions and results tied to the URL is exactly what gets lost when someone new picks up the work. Happy to do it. Grab whatever slot works for you here and I'll log my first task as a brand new user and record a free feedback video pointing out anything confusing along the way: https://betabloom.app/clarity-consult

The proof-of-work part is what I'd use, just for our own small team rather than clients. Last week we changed which language version of a job page is canonical, rewrote titles, and dropped untranslated articles from the index, all within a few days. When impressions shift in a couple of weeks, nobody will be able to say which change did it, because the only record is scattered commit messages. Can an entry be pinned to a set of monitored URLs so you see their before and after around that date?

Hey, yes, you can pin change logs and notes to specific URLs and enable a GSC comparison for your chosen time period. SEO Logbook will notify you when data gathering is complete, so your team can review performance before and after alongside a dated record of what changed.

The latest update adds more than this page currently describes. For overlapping changes like yours, it helps keep the timeline clear, though the comparison alone won’t tell you which individual change caused the shift.

And the AI assistant helps you manage all of this even faster.

@AmirhosseinAmiri  fair point that the comparison won't split overlapping changes. Ours luckily touched different URL sets: the canonical switch hit job pages, the noindex hit the blog, the titles hit both. So a separate pin per URL group should get us most of the way. Can the GSC comparison be narrowed to one language folder, like /de/ only?

@spinhire Not as a folder filter currently. You can link a log to multiple URLs, but each GSC comparison covers one saved URL.

So you can compare individual pages within /de/, but you can’t run one combined comparison for the whole folder inside SEO Logbook right now. I should have made that distinction clearer earlier.

@AmirhosseinAmiri  thanks, that's clear. Per page works for us if we pick a handful of top job pages in /de/ and /pl/ as a sample instead of the whole folder. Is there a limit on how many saved URLs one log can link to on the free plan?
