Showing the purchasing-power-adjusted price next to the plain exchange-rate number is the part that makes the gap obvious across all 193 countries - how often do you refresh the PPP data?
Good eye, it's two clocks on purpose.
FX rates refresh daily (they're the part that actually moves). The PPP tiers come from World Bank GNI per capita cross-checked with IMF, and that data only updates about yearly, so that's the baseline cadence.
On top of that I'll move a country's tier off-schedule when something real happens, high inflation, a currency crash, conflict, or when experiments across our own pool of apps show a country converts better in a different tier than the index alone would suggest.
The important part: every strategy change ships as its own incremental version. Nobody gets moved onto it automatically. You can stay on the version you're on, jump to a newer one, or build your own tiers and multipliers from scratch.
