We're live! Thanks for the first supporters, you mean the world to me 🥹🫰
I want to share below more about why I created PressDrop in the first place. Appreciate any and all comments!
TLDR;
PressDrop turns your product launch into a press release and distribute it to 300+ news feeds. Hundreds of backlinks for SEO, plus AEO so chat agents can cite you. Founding customer pricing for first 5 customers: $49. Regular price $199.
The full story:
I’ve been thinking about PR and AEO a lot lately.
At my day job at a small startup, we’ve used press releases a few times and I’ve seen them actually get picked up by news sites and the articles cited by chatbots.
So I started wondering:
why are indie hackers not doing this?
If you’re a solo founder who just spent 3 months building a SaaS (or 5 hours lol), paying $1k–$5k for PR doesn’t really make sense.
Hence PressDrop.
You give it your launch/news → get a press release → it distributes it to 300+ news feeds.
I’m also really interested in the SEO/AEO side of this.
More places mentioning your company = more chances to get discovered in Google and referenced by AI search/answer engines and from my experience AEO (chatbots) reaally love news articles.
I want to make this stupidly simple and accessible.
Not $2,000.
Not a PR retainer of $10,000.
$49.
First 5 founders get it for $49, next 5 for $79, regular price is $199.
It’s super early and I’m basically trying to find out if this is actually something founders would like - the first packages are sold on negative margin. 😅
So if you’re an indie hacker:
have you ever paid for PR?
did it work?
and would you pay $49 to give your launch a shot at getting picked up?
Would love to hear what you guys think 🫶
