Lucity takes a different approach to platform services by prioritizing ejectability. All platform state is stored in standard tools: Git for configuration, Kubernetes for orchestration, Helm for packaging, and ArgoCD for delivery. At any point, users can eject their entire setup and continue running independently on plain Kubernetes without any Lucity dependencies.
The platform connects to a GitHub repository, detects the language and framework automatically, builds a container image, and deploys it. Each project supports multiple environments with independent configuration, resource limits, and custom domains. Environments can be promoted (e.g. development to staging to production) without rebuilding.
Lucity serves two main use cases. For developers who want a simple deployment experience similar to Vercel or Railway, it provides a straightforward way to ship fullstack applications without thinking about infrastructure. For teams and companies adopting Kubernetes, Lucity acts as an onramp that makes the cluster accessible to every developer on the team, not just the infrastructure specialists. The platform runs on standard Kubernetes and produces standard Kubernetes resources, so teams can start simple and gradually take on more control as they grow.
