Having Search Console data next to the assistant answers is the part I'd actually use. We ranked fine in Google for our own queries while Gemini never named us, and what finally moved it was boring stuff: plain HTML without JS on the key pages and Organization markup. The hard part was guessing which pages the assistant really read. When an answer names a competitor instead of you, does CrawlSpider show which URLs it cited?

Yes, CrawlSpider captures the AI responses and the URLs they cite, when the assistant provides sources. You can inspect those citations to see which competitor pages or third-party sources are appearing in answers where your brand is missing.

We're also working on making this more actionable by surfacing cited URLs directly alongside missed brand mentions, rather than requiring you to inspect individual responses.

On the GSC side, we already analyze query and page performance to uncover ranking and CTR opportunities. The next step is connecting those insights with AI citations, so you can identify pages performing well in Google but not appearing in AI recommendations, or see when competitors' pages are being cited instead.

One caveat with Gemini: citations depend on whether the response includes grounded sources, so coverage can vary by model.

Interesting that you are now server rendering your html and not via JS. This was our own observation as well. So all the branded pages are server rendered, only few charts are rendered via JS.
