As the maker, I built this because I create a lot of content, now primarily in the IDE. The IDE whether that be Cursor or Claude Code, etc is a harness for models and markdown is my jam. To be able to shorten links and track what resonates in a blog post or social post, I like having access directly to the MCP server, in my IDE, to use tny.dev
So, in summary: the killer use case is high volume link shortening for content and then using the analytics tool call on these links once the content is published so I never really have to leave the IDE.
