I'm a self-taught web developer and graphic designer with over 10 years of building things for small businesses, including my own. I'm an introvert who'd rather spend a weekend solving a problem in code than talking about solving it. Most of what I build starts the same way: I need something, go looking for it, and find that everything out there is too bloated, too expensive, or built for companies ten times my size. So I build it myself, then make it available to other small business owners dealing with the same thing. That's the whole idea behind the GotTools (where most of the tools I build lives). Practical, focused tools for people who are running real businesses and don't have time for software that needs a learning curve just to do one simple thing.
