We are closing the waiting line

We are closing the waiting line

We are temporarily closing our free waiting line to maintain quality and ensure every product gets the visibility it deserves.

Update (December 2025): Great news! The waiting line is now completely free again. You can read about this change in our latest announcement.

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

So... we need to talk. It's both a good and a bad news!

The situation

Our free waiting line has been growing like crazy (which is awesome!), but we've hit a point where it's literally 5 months long 🀯. Five. Months.

I think we can all agree that 5 months is too long to wait for a product to launch, it's not pleasant for anyone.

From here, we have several options available to us:

  • 1️⃣ Keep going as is, and let the waiting line grow even more

πŸ‘‰πŸ» This is absolutely not sustainable in the long term. User frustration is growing more and more, and rightfully so. Plus, another problem is becoming increasingly present: product quality. We're receiving more and more low-quality products, and we don't like that.

  • 2️⃣ Increase the number of products launched each day

πŸ‘‰πŸ» This isn't sustainable in the long term either. The waiting line would remain quite long, and it still wouldn't solve the product quality problem. Even worse, it would decrease the visibility of each product. We don't want to become another Product Hunt where 5% of people are "featured" and others are displayed on page 4.

We'd rather have fewer, better launches where each product actually gets attention, traffic, and love from the community πŸ’›

  • 3️⃣ Make the waiting line paid

πŸ‘‰πŸ» This is the option we'll probably favor. In 2-3 months, when the waiting line has decreased, we'll ask for a small fee of $4.99 to enter the waiting line. This will allow us to ensure that the products entering the waiting line are quality ones, and drastically reduce its length.

Think about it:

  • βœ… It would filter out the "eh, why not" submissions
  • βœ… Still crazy affordable for serious builders
  • βœ… Keeps wait times reasonable (no more 5-month madness!)
  • βœ… Everyone gets proper visibility when they launch
  • βœ… And the more important point: everyone will be motivated to share their launch, which means more traffic and more visibility for all of you.

So what does this actually mean? πŸ€”

  • Free submissions = on pause for at least 3 months (maybe longer, we'll see!)
  • The $30 skip-the-line thing is still there if you want to launch immediately
  • We're using this breathing room to figure out a better system that actually works for everyone

But hey, we want YOUR ideas! πŸ’‘

Got a better solution? Think our $4.99 idea is terrible? Have a completely different approach?

Hit us up at [email protected] - I personally read every single email, and some of our best features have come from community suggestions! πŸ“§

If you're already in line 🎫

Don't worry! Your spot is safe:

  • Products already in the waiting line β†’ still launching as planned βœ…
  • Your launch date isn't changing πŸ“…
  • New people just can't join the free line anymore (but can still pay $30 to skip)

Real talk πŸ’¬

This wasn't an easy call to make. I hate having to tell people "sorry, you can't submit for free right now." But I hate the idea of someone waiting 5+ months even more.

We're going to figure this out, and we're going to make it better. That's a promise.

Thanks for sticking with us while we work through this! πŸ™

And seriously - if you have ideas, don't be shy. We're all ears at [email protected] πŸš€
