omnirun

Build software and automate tasks by describing what you want. Type or talk.

omnirun is a desktop app that lets anyone build software, automate tasks, and control their computer by describing what they want. Type or talk — it plans, creates, previews, and deploys. Built with Tauri (not Electron), React, and TypeScript.

Most AI coding tools force a tradeoff. Browser-based tools like Bolt.new are great for quick prototyping but you're stuck in a sandbox — no real file access, hard to maintain projects, painful to export. Terminal tools like Claude Code are powerful but assume you already know what you're doing. omnirun sits in between — a desktop app with a proper UI where anyone can describe what they need, get it built, and actually own the files on their machine.

omnirun works with multiple AI providers — Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, Ollama (local models), and any OpenAI-compatible API. Bring your own keys, no markup on API costs.

The architecture is local-first. Almost everything is stored in SQLite — project data, chat history, settings, memory, connections. Supabase only handles what needs to be in the cloud: auth, Stripe billing, team collaboration, and analytics. Code and conversations never leave the user's computer.

Auto model routing — the app automatically picks the right model for each task. Haiku handles cheap operations like reading files, Sonnet does the actual building, Opus steps in for complex problems. No configuration needed. Cuts token costs 60-80% compared to using a single model for everything.

Project memory — a context file persists tech stack decisions, architecture choices, and preferences across sessions. Close the app for two months, come back, and it picks up exactly where things left off.

Time Machine — auto-snapshots before every file write and delete. Unlimited version history with instant rollback.

Assistant section — separate from the project builder. A personal AI agent that connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Discord, GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Todoist. Reads emails, drafts replies, manages calendar events, and has watching agents that monitor things and push notifications when something happens. An AI assistant that knows the user's life, not just their code.

Connections hub — connect once to external services like Vercel, Netlify, GitHub, Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, Namecheap, and SendGrid. Deploy, manage DNS, push code, set up payments — all through conversation. 10+ integrations live with more coming.

Voice control and desktop app control — describe tasks by talking, and the app can see the screen and interact with any application, not just browsers.
