Hi remote team founders and managers!
We are a relatively small team within fakturoid.cz, the 2nd largest SaaS invoicing software in Czech Republic, self funded, 15+ years on the market. You can see us as an internal startup, with me as a PM and two engineers working with one of the company co-founders for 6 months building the first version before opening it to other devs internally.
After 15 years of running a remote team ourselves, managing sick days, vacations, compensation and team updates became a huge headache, especially in the last 2-3 years when the team grew from ~10 to ~30 people. That's why we built Kime HR, a simple tool designed for remote teams, to take care of HR in one place instead of using multiple spreadsheets and tools. We have been using it ourselves for a while and now we are ready to release Kime into the wild :-)
We’re opening a private beta and seeking beta testers and would love your feedback to make Kime even better. We are specifically looking for small remote teams who are growing out of spreadsheets and are looking for their first (and last 😜) HR app.
With Kime, you can:
Manage leaves, sick days, and compensation in one place
Run regular check-ins to keep your team connected, be it a work update (What's your plan for this week? What did you do today?) or a social one (How was your weekend? What do you watch/read?)
Store private manager notes, organize meetings, and more!
For us, the HR admin part is a necessary evil 👿 that needs to be done, but check-ins is the thing. It saves us many hours of meetings as we don't do daily stand-ups or planning meetings, everything is in a written form in Kime. The social check-ins about the weekend and books/movies recommendation turned into the most popular feature and it became the company social network with heated discussions and good conversation openers for when we meet in person a few times a year. I'd be interested in seeing if this would work for other remote teams as well as it works for us.
