Headjust is a macOS app built to help you notice something most of us miss during long hours at a desk: unconscious stillness.
A lot of posture tools focus on sitting perfectly straight. Headjust takes a different approach. It helps you become aware of when you’ve been sitting too rigidly, drifting into the same position for too long, or barely moving at all while working. Using head motion data from compatible headphones, Headjust turns subtle movement patterns into quiet, visual feedback right on your Mac.
Instead of annoying pings or disruptive reminders, Headjust uses a notch-based interface with silent nudges, 3D head visualizations, and session insights so you can better understand how you move throughout the day. The goal is not to “fix” posture through software, but to help you build the awareness needed to adjust, stretch, and move more naturally on your own.
Headjust was created from a personal problem: waking up with a stiff neck, a rigid spine, and realizing the issue wasn’t just posture, but spending hours completely frozen while working. That personal experiment evolved into a tool designed for developers, designers, writers, and anyone who spends long stretches focused at a screen.
What makes Headjust different is its philosophy: it is not meant to keep you hooked forever. If it works well, you should eventually need it less. The real success metric is not retention, but awareness - helping you build habits that survive without the app.
