## About

Recap is a local-first meeting memory tool for Apple Silicon. It records and processes meetings on-device, then turns transcripts, decisions, and action items into a searchable Markdown wiki with timestamp citations.

It is built for people and teams that cannot send meeting data to external AI services. The workflow combines local transcription, speaker diarization, local LLM correction and summarization, hybrid search, and RAG-style Q&A.

The project is open source and early. Setup is heavier than a hosted AI notetaker, but the tradeoff is privacy, local control, and reusable meeting knowledge.
