## About

What it does

OneStar reads the reviews of any app or game on the App Store, Google Play and Steam and turns them into one report: what users complain about, what they praise, what they ask for, and who says they’re leaving. Run it on your own app, or on a competitor you’re trying to beat.

How it works

Every review gets the same set of questions from Jev, a classification model from TypeSafe. Is there a complaint? Which category? Does the reviewer say they’re leaving? What are they asking for? Each answer comes with a probability, and plain code does the counting.

Every number in a report opens the reviews behind it, so you can check any figure yourself. When Jev isn’t confident about an answer, that review goes into an “unsure” bucket that stays visible on the report.

Three ways to use it

Run a report on any app or game. Search by name or paste a store link, and the breakdown is ready in minutes.

Compare up to four apps on the same categories, side by side. (Pro)

Track your own app through App Store Connect, with alerts when a complaint spikes and a weekly digest. Google Play Console is in beta. (Pro)

An example

We compared 8,898 reviews of Hinge, Bumble and Tinder. Bumble’s developers replied to 22% of reviews, and Tinder’s replied to under 1%. On Hinge, reviews about login and account problems rated 1.6 stars lower. The full comparison is here

Pricing

Free gets you 3 reports a month with up to 500 reviews each, and no card is needed. Pro is $19 a month: up to 5,000 reviews a report, comparisons, tracking, Ask and CSV export. Max is $49 a month for higher limits.

I’m Jared, and I build OneStar on my own. If a report looks wrong to you, tell me and I’ll look into it.
