## About

Your API requests are already plain .http files, the format VS Code REST Client and JetBrains run. They diff like code and review like code. What's missing is a workspace for them, and that's what Karve is.

Files stay files

Karve gathers .http/.rest files from any repo into virtual collections without moving them. No import, no proprietary format, no account. Your requests keep living in Git, and they still work in any editor if you ever drop the app.

A real workspace, not just a runner

Per-file .env environments point one set of requests at dev, staging, or prod without editing the file. Tabs restore between sessions, the response viewer shows a JSON tree with raw and header views, and every request and response lands in a searchable local history (SQLite, on your machine).

Let your AI agent drive it

Since 1.0.6, Karve ships a built-in MCP server. Claude Code (or any MCP client) can find, run, fix, and author requests in your workspace, live in the app window. The agent only ever sees raw request text with {{var}} placeholders — your tokens, environment values, and history never reach it.

Actually native

WinUI 3 compiled to native code: cold start under 2 seconds, Mica dark and light themes, x64 and ARM64 builds (it runs properly on Snapdragon X laptops). No Electron.
